Heading 6ABOUT

The initial seed for a Big Country tribute is sown in July 2015 when Belfast guitarist & Big Country fan; Johnnie Grattan, initiates contact & demo's are put together online with an unknown bass player from Birmingham, England. 'Angle Park' is announced as the world's first tribute to Big Country in February 2016 & two rehearsals take place in Belfast with the unknown bass player & an unknown drummer from Co. Londonderry from April to June, before Johnnie ends the sessions as he feels that geographical & logistical issues would hamper their progress & decides to continue the search for other musicians closer to Belfast.

In February 2017, Johnnie recruits both a locally-based bass player & a locally-based drummer & regular rehearsals commence in Belfast; with Johnnie intertwining both Stuart Adamson's & Bruce Watson's guitar parts, as well as handling vocal duties. The band make their live debut at the first Big Country Irish Fans event in Navan, Co. Meath in June. At the end of the performance, the band are joined on stage for an encore of Restless Natives by ex-Big Country bass player; Tony Butler.

Members have come & gone during the eight years the band have been performing, but the current line-up is viewed as being the best, with rave reviews of their performances from both radio DJ's & gig-goers.
